Our Mission
The MBAA's focus is to build a sense of community by providing MBA students with an opportunity for interaction through social and career development activities. We rely on the Smith MBA clubs as well as contact with professor and Alumni to help students strengthen their skills, define the career goals and develop a solid network of professional peers.

Our Goals
Classroom: Learning Today to Lead Tomorrow
- Integrate more professional development activities into the curriculum,
- Hold professors, students and the administration accountable to the standards worthy of a first-tier teaching program, and
- Facilitate and convey timely feedback to our professors, and constantly look for ways to improve our classroom experiences.
Career: Bringing the Best Jobs Home
- Linking career programming with the progression of our career searches,
- Bringing new and diverse companies to campus, including socially responsible and non-profit organizations, and
- Ensuring that we are ready to meet the work environment that awaits us upon graduation.
Community: Working Together We Excel
- Increase family friendly activities,
- Plan and develop social activities that cater to the diverse needs and interests of the Smith community,
- Work with faculty members and part-time students to create greater cohesiveness and interaction, and
- Work with OIT and the administration to improve the overall functionality of IT at Smith.
Clubs: Linking Our Passions With Our Futures
- Strive for better alignment between the clubs and OCM and their services,
- Work with club leaders to improve transparency of the budgeting and governance of the clubs,
- Improve club programming quality and attendance at club events,
- Increase the value of the clubs to all students, and
- Foster interconnectedness between the clubs and relevant offices and professors throughout Smith.
